This coin was made in Lancaster, England to commemorate the admission of Kentucky into the Union in 1792.
The obverse has an extended hand holding a banner that bears the legend, “OUR CASE IS JUST” with “UNANIMITY IS THE STRENGTH OF SOCIETY” wrapped around the coin.
The Reverse has a star at the top of a Pyramid which bears the letter “K” which is why this coin is known as the Kentucky Token and being the 15th state. The legend “E PLURIBUS UNUM” (one of many) is above a 15 star pyramid in rays of glory. Each Star bears the initial of the 15 states at the time of the Union.
